Act of Offering

My loving Jesus, I offer You my life today, I know You are always with me, every moment, in every way; So, I surrender my all to Your will willingly.

I offer You my thoughts, my words, my deeds, whatever comes my way, I will take courage and believe, that You are guiding me towards the path of righteousness.

I offer You my joys, my sufferings, my everything, I trust that in Your hands, they will become something, beautiful and glorious, for the greater glory of God.

I offer You my petty and big victories I’ll win, little failures, and big falls, where I’ll begin again, with Your unfailing love and mercy, I will rise and persevere.

Lord, I offer You this prayer from the depths of my heart, with deep humility and gratitude for all You have done, take my life and make it Yours, forever and ever.

Amen.

The legacy of Act of Offering

The Act of Offering is a Catholic prayer that has its roots in the deep spirituality of the early Christians.

The prayer was also influenced by the spirituality of St. Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus, who taught that everything we do should be for the greater glory of God.

Over time, the Act of Offering became a way for Catholics to offer all of their thoughts, words, and actions to God, as a way of living out their faith in every moment of their lives.

One of the most famous versions of the Act of Offering was written by St. Thérèse of Lisieux, a Carmelite nun who lived in the late 19th century.

St. Thérèse’s Act of Offering has become one of the most popular Catholic prayers, especially among those seeking to deepen their relationship with God and live a life of greater holiness.

Today, the Act of Offering remains an important part of Catholic spirituality, reminding Catholics that every moment of their lives can be an opportunity to offer themselves to God, and to grow in love and devotion to Him.
