A Prayer to Rebuke Satan

Heavenly Father, I ask You in the name, and through the Blood of Your Divine Son, to rebuke Satan for taking captive that which belongs to You.

I ask Jesus to place His Crown of thorns around (Name the person) so that those with wrong influences will lose interest and depart.

Mary Mother of Jesus, place your mantle of love around, (your son and/or your daughter.)

Amen

St. Michael, protect them.

Where did this prayer come from? A Prayer to Rebuke Satan

A Prayer to Rebuke Satan is a Catholic prayer commonly used by believers to ask for protection against the works of Satan. This prayer is also known as the Prayer to St. Benedict and is attributed to the great saint himself.

The prayer is believed to have originated in the Middle Ages when a monk named Benedict of Nursia was said to have confronted Satan in a vision. In the vision, Satan tried to tempt St. Benedict with worldly pleasures, but the saint rebuked him and rejected his advances.

The Prayer to Rebuke Satan is often recited during exorcisms, and it is thought to be particularly useful in protecting the faithful from the attacks of evil spirits. The prayer is a call to St. Benedict to intercede on our behalf and to protect us from the snares of the devil.

The prayer has been widely used throughout the Catholic Church for centuries and has been translated into many languages. It is often recited as part of the daily devotions of Catholic believers, and it has helped many people to find comfort and strength in times of spiritual warfare.
